Being a parent is no joke.
Being a parent is a tough challenge in the 21st century.
The days when children were raised with effortless ease, with responsibilities left to mothers alone and parenthood seen as a natural phenomenon, are long gone.
These are the days of cut-throat competition, acute challenges from the corporate world, and global exposures for a bright career. Parents today must be cautious, with so many social networking sites on the Internet, waiting to lure and undermine the innocence of a developing mind.
For the past thirty years, I have worked with both senior and nursery, K.G. I & K.G. II students, and have felt their pulse.
When practicing the art of parenting, an ounce of example is worth a ton of preaching. If we set an example of honesty, our children will be honest. If we surround them with love, they will learn to love. If we face life with laughter, they will develop a sense of humor. If we are thankful for life’s blessings, they will also be thankful and will learn to cherish those blessings. If we believe in the values of life, they will accept them without doubt. Start climbing the heights you want your children to scale, and they will follow.

Hailing from the heartland of intellectuals, West Bengal, educated and now settled in Madhya Pradesh, Mrs. Subrata Banerjee has taken over as the confirmed Principal of The Bhavans’ Prominent School. With impressive qualifications to her credit, including schooling from Sophia Senior Secondary School, Ajmer, she earned her P.G. Degrees from Government Colleges—M.A. in Economics and M.A. in English Literature. As the topper of DAVV Indore in M.Ed., she was awarded the Gold Medal by Shri Balram Jakhar, the then Governor of Madhya Pradesh.
She has also qualified for the University Grants Commission’s National Eligibility Test in Education. She has participated in various training programs and national conferences on school education conducted by NUEPA, New Delhi, IIM-Bangalore, and IIT-New Delhi. A dedicated soul, a sane individual, and a sincere educationist, Mrs. Subrata Banerjee works from dawn to dusk for the betterment of the students.
